With much anticipation the Aldi Baby Event finally arrived and saw Jane shoot off at 09:30 to be sure to beat the masses. As it turns out it was rather quiet at that time of the morning and she had a relaxed nosey checking the full range of items in all available colours, somewhat different to my experience.
Pregnant Parent Mayhem
During my lunch, I headed of to an Aldi close to work where, lets just say, there are more mums and dads out of work, than the national average, and it was rammed! With everything strewn all over the place it looked like the aftermath of a Black Friday event!
Still I persevered and managed come away with six Tommee Tippee bottles (even though we plan on BF), Nuby baby pram teethers, muslin cloths, a knitted blanket, long sleeve bibs, and some baby bodysuits – the latter being a mistake. I ended up with “12+ mths” for a newborn – good going Chris!
The above was in addition to Janes earlier purchases that included a value box of wipes and a Munchkin Travel Booster Seat. Turns out that my folks also headed to Aldi and grabbed us a Hauck Dream ‘n’ Play Travel Cot.
eBay Bargain #3
Our latest big buy was once again thanks to eBay and hence a bargain to say the least!
Our perseverance finally paid off as we managed to bag ourselves a Stokke MyCarrier for the bargain price of £30 on eBay! This, compared to the £140 price brand new is a huge saving meaning another £100 goes into our holiday fund pot 😉
Next on our wishlist is a Stokke Tripp Trapp.
